THATCH

Thatch is a traditional roofing material made from palm or grass, cut, dried, and layered to create a durable, tropical look. Today it's available in both natural and synthetic options-both designed to provide shade and help reduce heat buildup under the roof.

Thatch is a popular choice for tiki huts, outdoor bars, gazebos, umbrellas, palapas, and other residential or commercial shade projects.

BAJA THATCH

A traditional, handwoven thatch style made in central Mexico, Performs well in windy areas. Installed best on wood-framed structures-we recommend stapling (not tying) for a tight, clean finish. For proper coverage, size it so the thatch overhangs the roof edge by a few inches.

Typical lifespan: - 2-3 years in most coastal climates and 4-5 years in dry desert climates.
